October 3rd and 4th, 2009 - Rescue Boat Training
 
Training on our new rescue boat.  Training was done by Ocean Rescue Systems.

July 14, 2009 - Motor Vehicle Accident  9:30 PM
Single motor vehicle accident on Main St. near Route 1 intersection.  Vehicle was in the ditch and there were no injuries.  Stockton Resuce #1 responded to the scene to direct traffic.

July 12, 2009 - Motor Vehicle Accident  2:00 AM
Report of a motor vehicle accident through the gaurdrail, down an embankment, and possibly on its roof with unknown PI on Route 1 near Muskrat Farm Road.  Upon arrival of first Stockton unit, the vehicle was through a gaurdrail, not over an embankment, and on its wheels.  The Stockton Springs Ambulance Service responded to check the driver, but she was not transported.  Stockton Rescue #1 and Stockton Truck#9 responded scene also.

July 5, 2009 - Motor Vehicle Accident

Single vehicle accident with personal injury on the Penobscot Narrows Bridge in the east bound lane.  Vehicle was over enough to the side so traffic could still go across the bridge.  The one victim was transported to a hospital by the Stockton Springs Ambulance Service.  Stockton Rescue #1 went to the scene to assist Prospect Fire Dept.

June 24, 2009 - Evacuate People from Penobscot Narrows Bridge
Elevator at the Penobscot Narrows Bridge got stuck, no one was on the elevator.  People were up in the observatory and all walked down the tower onto the bridge deck safely.  Stockton Rescue #1 along with Stockton Springs Ambulance and Prospect Fire went to the scene.

June 21, 2009 - Evacuate People from Penobscot Narrows Bridge
Elevator at the Penobscot Narrows Bridge got stuck, no one was on the elevator.  6 people were up in the observatory.  Stockton Rescue #1 went to the scene along with Stockton Springs Ambulance and Prospect Fire.  All people that were in the observatory walked down the tower and onto the bridge deck safely.

June 20, 2009 - Vehicle Fire Route 1
Vehicle fire on Route 1 near Muskrat Farm Road intersection.  Fire was put out by fire chief before any trucks arrived.  Truck #6 and Rescue #1 came to the scene.  Stockton Springs Ambulance had to come to the scene for the driver of the vehicle as she had a medical emergency after the fire.

June 20, 2009 - Flooded Basement
Pumped out flooded basement on Lighthouse Road.  Basement had about 5 inches of water in it.

Mutual Aid to Searsport to help with flooding on Warren Road.

October 24, 2008 - Reroute Route 1 Traffic  -  12:00 AM - 10:00 AM
SSFD was paged out to respond to the intersection of Route 1 and Harris Rd. to reroute traffic from Route 1 over the back roads and back onto Route 1 in Searsport as police were searching for an armed man.  Stockton Rescue #1 went 10-8 to the intersection.  Searsport Fire Dept. was at their end of Route 1 rerouting traffic also.  All Stockton units cleared the scene around 10:00 AM.

October 12, 2008 - Monthly Fire Meeting  -  7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Stockton Springs Fire Dept. had their monthly meeting.

October 7, 2008 - Person Jumped from Penobscot Narrows Bridge
Report of a person who parked their car in the middle of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge and then jumped off the bridge.  Stockton Rescue #1 and Prospect Pumper #3 went 10-8 to the scene.  Bucksport Fire Department was called for their rescue boat.  Other departments that assisted search were Orland Fire Department with their rescue boat, Maine Marine Patrol, and Coast Guard.  All Stockton units cleared the scene as the boats kept searching. 

September 29, 2008 - Evacuate People from Tower
Report of the elevator at the Penobscot Narrows Bridge not working.  Stockton Rescue #1 and Truck #6 along with Propsect Pumper #3 went 10-8 to the scene.  Both fire departments had to evacuate people from the Observatory to the bridge deck. 

September 28, 2008 - Tree Down on Greenvalley Road.
Report of a tree down on the Greenvalley Road.  Stockton 207 and Rescue #1 went 10-8 to the scene.  Stockton 200 then came on the radio and said all Stockton units could stand down as the tree has been removed.  All Stockton units returned to the station.

September 28, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident on Route 1 with 2 Fatalities
Report of a motor vehicle accident, truck VS. guardrail, on Route 1 near Muskrat Farm Road.  A second page came out saying it was two vehicles with double code.  Stockton Rescue #1 and Truck #6 went 10-8 to the scene.  On arrival of Stockton 207, it was a pick-up VS. car with one PI in the pick-up and two fatalities in the car.  The driver of the pick-up was transported to Waldo County General Hospital by the Stockton Springs Ambulance Service.  Route 1 was down to one lane for 6.5 hours while the Maine State Police and a Waldo County Sheriff's Deputy reconstructed the accident. 

September 21, 2008 - Evacuate People from Elevator
Report of 14 people in the Penobscot Narrows Bridge elevator that had stop working and the was still people in the top of the Observatory Tower.  Stockton Rescue #1 went 10-8 the scene along with Prospect pumpers.  The elevator was on the bottom level when it stopped working.  Once the people were out of the elevator, Propsect and Stockton Springs fire departments had the people in the observatory walk down the stairs inside the tower to the bridge deck.  After all people were evacuated from the elevator and the observatory, all Stockton units cleared the scene.

September 19, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident on Route 1
Report of a motor vehicle accident on Route 1 by the Stockton / Prospect town line with unknown injuries.  Stockton Rescue #1 went 10-8 to the scene.  On arrival of Searsport 7, he found a pick-up truck that had gone off the road and hit the ledges.  The driver was out of the vehicle and he wasn't complaining of any injuries.  Stockton Rescue #1 and all other stockton fire units cleared the scene in under an hour.

September 12, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident at Just Barb's
Report of a motor vehicle accident on Main Street at Just Barb's, car VS. building.  On arrival of the first units, the car was beside the building with one PI.  Just Barb's had little damage thier building.  The driver of the vehicle was transported to Waldo County General Hospital by the Stockton Springs Ambulance Service. 

September 2, 2008 - Standby at Cape Docks
Standby at the Cape Docks for a boat that was taking on water out in the harbor.  Stockton Rescue #1 went 10-8 to the Cape Docks.  Searsport 500 and Stockton Springs Harbor Master went out in boats to help the boater.  They found the boater to be doing fine.  Searsport 500 returned to Searsport and the Stockton Harbor Master followed the boater back to the Cape Docks.  Unpon arrival of the boater at the docks he and his passenger were fine and didn't need the fire department or the Stockton Springs Ambulance Service.  All Stockton units returned to the station. 

August 30, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident
Report of a motor vehicle accident on Route 1A by Muskrat Farm Road in Prospect.  Stockton Truck #6 and Prospect pumper went 10-8 to the scene.  On arrival of the units, there was a car over an embankment that hit a telephone pole.  The pole was laying on top of the car.  All the people in car were out of the vehicle and were transported to Waldo County General Hospital by the Stockton Springs Ambulance Service.  All Stockton fire units went back to the station as Propsect had the scene under control.

August 30, 2008 - Unknown Type of Fire
Report of a fire on Route 1 by the Rocky Ridge Motel.  Stockton Truck #2 signed 10-8.  On arrival of Stockton #207, #202, and #233 there was a permitted burn out behind a trailer.  All other Stockton units were told to stand down.  Stockton Truck #2 signed 10-8, 10-19 back to the station.

August 23, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident
Report of a motor vehicle accident on Route 1 in Prospect by the bridge with car over the embankment and unknown of any injuries.  Stockton Rescue #1 and Truck #6 went 10-8 to the scene along with Prospect Pumper #3.  On arrival of Stockton 207, he found the vehicle off the road near the scenic turn out with the vehicle on its side against a tree.  There were two victims still inside the vehicle that had to be extricated.  We stabilzed the vehicle with straps and an air bag.  After the victims were extricated the Stockton Springs Ambulance Service transported them to Waldo County General Hospital. 
August 21, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident
Report of a motor vehicle accident on Route 1 near the Stockton/Prospect town line.  Stockton Truck #2 and Rescue #1 went 10-8 to the scene along with Prospect Pumper #3.  On arrival there was a pick-up truck that went off the road and hit the gaurd rail and then hit a large rock head on.  The victim was out of the vehicle when first units got on scene.  Victim was loaded into the ambulance and transported to Waldo County General Hospital.  The accident was found to be in Stockton Springs.  Witnesses say there was a dog with the victim and when the vehicles door was opened the dog ran off.  We do not know the if the dog has been found and we do not know what type of dog it is, but we do know it was wearing a red bandana around its neck.

August 16, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident
Report of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 1 and Harris Road.  Rescue #1 went 10-8 to the scene.  On arrival of the first unit, there was two vehicles involved.  One vehicle was in the road way and the other was in a ditch.  Traffic going south bound on Route 1 was re-routed through Main Street.  Two victims were transported to Waldo County General Hospital.  One victim was taken by Stockton Springs Ambulance Service and the other was taken by Searsport Ambulance Service.

August 8, 2008 - Structure Fire
As Stockton Truck #6 and Rescue #1 were still on scene at the motor vehicle accident, the SSFD got a page for a fully involved structure fire on at 24 Lower Sylvan Street.  Stockton Truck #6 and Rescue #1 left the scene on the Green Valley Road and went 10-8 to the structure fire.  Stockton Truck #2, #4, and #8 also went 10-8 to the scene.  On arrival of the first truck, the 2-story house was fully involved with fire coming out the windows.  We had the fire knocked down in a couple of hours.  We had mutual aid from Prospect and Searsport Fire Departments.  The Fire Marshals Office was called into investigate the cause.  It turned out to be an electrical problem from a dryer that was left running with no one home.    

August 8, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident
Report of a motor vehicle accident on the Green Valley Road.  Stockton Truck #6 and Rescue #1 go 10-8 to the scene.  On arrival, they found the pick-up truck off the road and it had hit a telephone pole.  Central Maine Power was called into put a new pole in and the State Police was on scene.

August 2, 2008 - Possible Woods Fire
Report of smoke coming from the woods on Route 1A.  Stockton 207 finds that it is just a permitted burn off from a pit road.  All other Stockton units where told to stand down.

May 12, 2008 - Possible Structure Fire  4:00-4:15 AM
Report of a structure fire at 969 Bangor Road in Prospect.  Prospect 101 arrived on scene and said there was nothing showing.  Prospect Fire Dept. searched the house and found no fire.  All Stockton units were told to stand down.

May 6, 2008 - Air Conditioner Smoking  3:30-3:45 PM
Report of an air conditioner smoking at the Stockton Springs Health Center.  On arrival of Stockton 201, he found no fire and the air conditioner had stopped smoking.  He had the health center turn off the air conditioner and he had all Stockton Units stand down.

April 22, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident  8:30-9:00 PM
Report of a motor vehicle accident VS. pole with wires down on the Clark Rd. in Prospect.  On arrival of Stockton 203, he found that there was no wires down, the pole was snapped in half and it was stuck in the ground.  None of Stockton's trucks responded due to there was no body trapped.   

April 18, 2008 - Grass Fire  2-3 PM
Report of a grass fire on Pout Town Road.  Trucks #2, #4, and #6 went 10-8 to the scene.  On arrival they found the grass fire was starting to get into the woods.  We were able to stop the fire from reaching the woods.  All units cleared and returned to the station in about an hour.

April 13, 2008 - Monthly Meeting  7-8 PM 
The fire department had their monthly meeting.

March 25, 2008 - Structure Fire  4:30 - 6:00 AM
Report of smoke alarms going off in a house with the house full of smoke on the Muskrat Farm Rd.  Prospect Fire was toned out to respond to the scene for mutual aid and Searsport Fire was told to stand by at their station.  Stockton Truck #2 and Prospect Pumper #4 were the first to go 10-8 to the scene.  Stockton Truck #4, #6, #8, and Rescue #1 and all other Prospect trucks were 10-8 to the scene shortly after.  On arrival of Stockton 200, he found a small fire on the front outside wall of the house.  Firefighters quickly had the fire extinguished.  Stockton firefighters did a search through the house to make sure the fire was totally out.  After a search, they found the fire was out and it was contained to the outside wall.  The firefighters put a positive pressure fan inside the house to get all the smoke out.  All trucks returned to their stations in about an hour and a half. 

March 23, 2008 - Possible Structure Fire in Searsport
Mutual aid call to Searsport for a possible structure fire on the Frankfort Rd.  Stockton Truck #4 went 10-8 to the scene.  Stockton Truck #6, #8, and Stockton Rescue #1 were about to go 10-8 to the scene when Searsport Fire Dept. signed off on scene and said a Searsport Police Officer had the fire knocked down.  Stockton Truck #6, #8, and Rescue #1 staged at our station and Stockton Truck #4 staged at Searsport Public Safety Building.  The fire turned out to be an electrical fire. 

March 10, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident  5:15 - 5:45 PM
Stockton 214 called in a motor vehcile accident, roll over, on Cape Jellison Rd.  Their was one minor PI.  Stockton Fire Department and Ambulance was paged out.  On arrival of Stockton 204, he canceled the fire department as their was no need for the department.  All Stockton Fire units returned to the station.

The fire department and the Jr. fire department had their monthly meeting and training.

February 12, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident
Mutual aid call to Bucksport for jaws of life, for a head on motor vehicle accident.  The accident was on the Bucksport/Verona Bridge, right at the town line.  Stockton Rescue #1 went 10-8 to the scene.  On arrival of Stockton 207, he was told by Bucksport Fire 1 that they extricated the person out of the vehicle and Stockton's jaws was not needed.  All Stockton units returned to the station.
February 10, 2008 - Monthly Meetings
The fire department and the Jr. fire department had their monthly meeting.

January 31, 2008 - Fire Alarm
Report of a fire alarm going off on the Lighthouse Road.  Stockton 231 signed off at the scene and said nothing showing.  Before any trucks were able to go 10-8, Stockton 231 said that it was a false alarm and there was no need for the fire department.  All Stockton units returned to the station.

January 24, 2008 - Possible Jumper on PNB
Report of a person jumping off the Penobscot Narrows Bridge in Prospect.  Stockton Rescue #1 went 10-8 to the scene.  On arrival, we found no one at the bridge.  Rescue #1 called Bucksport Fire Dept. on thier primary and they said they had the person out of the water and in thier rescue boat.  All Stockton and Prospect units cleared the scene.

January 19, 2008 - Standby at GAC
SSFD got toned out to standby at General Alum Chemical in Searsport for a train car that was derailed as Searsport Fire Department had to leave the scene to go to a 10-55 on Route 1.  The train car had Sulphuric Acid on it.  There was no leak or spill.  Stockton Rescue #1 went 10-8 to GAC.  Just as Rescue #1 was arriving on scene, Searsport 200 told Stockton they could stand down.  All Stockton Fire Department units returned to the station.   

January 18, 2008 - Motor Vehicle Accident
Report of a 10-55 roll over with victim still in vehicle, on Route 174 in Prospect.  Stockton Truck #6 and Rescue #1 along with Prospect Pumper #3 and Truck #4 went 10-8 to the scene.  Prospect told all other units that Route 174 was very slick.  On Prospect Truck #4 arrival, they found the victim out of the vehicle.  When Stockton 200 arrived on scene he told Stockton Truck #6 and Rescue #1 that they could stand down, Prospect had the scene under control.  Searsport Ambulance responded to the scene as Stockton Ambulance was out on another call.

January 17, 2008 - Possible Structure Fire
Report of a structure at 51 Cape Jellison Road.  Stockton Truck #2 went 10-8 just as Stockton 201 signed on scene.  As there was no fire showing, Stockton 201 had all other trucks stand by at the station.  After an investigation through the house, there was no fire found.  All Stockton units returned back to the station.

The fire deparment and the junior fire department had their monthly meeting.

December 27, 2007
Mutual aid call to Prospect for a report of heavy smoke coming from an old chicken barn that is now used for storage on Hawes Bridge Road.  Stockton Truck #2, Truck #4, Truck #6, and Truck #8 all signed 10-8 to the scene.  On arrival of Prospect units, they found it was a burn pile that was burning.  Prospect 101 had all Stockton units stand down.

December 24, 2007
Report of a branch on fire that was touching a power line.  On arrival of Stockton 201, he found the branch on the ground smoldering and there was no other branches on the power lines.  Truck #2 responded to the scene to put water on the branch.

December 19, 2007
Report of a 10-55, car pole with wires down, with PI (personal injury) on Greenvalley road at the Stockton Prospect town line.  Prospect Pumper #3 and Stockton Rescue #1 went to the scene.  On arrival, we found that the accident was in Stockton and Prospect Pumper #3 returned to their station.  Stockton Rescue #1 stayed on scene until arrival of State Police and CMP.  

December 18, 2007
Report of a 2 vehicle 10-55 PD only on Main Street with vehicles blocking the road.  Rescue #1 went to the scene  to direct traffic.

November 12, 2007
Mutual aid to Prospect for a report of a furnace fire on Green Valley Road.  Truck #2 and Prospect Pumper #3 signed off on scene at the same time.  Prospect Pumper #3 said all other Stockton units could stand down.

 Truck #2 went to the intersection of Harris Road and Route 1 to re-route traffic as Searsport had a motor vehicle accident on Route 1.  Rescue #1 went to the scene in Searsport to provide scene lights and other equipment.

November 1, 2007
Mutual aid to Searsport for a structure fire on Indian Hill Road.  The first Searsport unit on scene found the house full of smoke.  Truck #2, Truck #4, Truck #6, Truck #8, and Rescue #1 all responded to the scene.

Mutual aid to Searsport for a possible structure fire on Savage Road.  No trucks left the station before we were told to stand down.
October 19, 2007
Mutual aid call to Prospect for a fire alarm activation at Penobscot Narrows Bridge.  First unit on scene (Stockton 300) said there was no fire or smoke.  Truck #2 went 10-8 to the scene.  Stockton 300 did a search and found nothing.  All trucks were cancelled and all units cleared the scene.

Fire alarm activation at Hershey Retreat.  First units on scene reported there was no smoke and had all trucks hold at station.  Units did a search through the building and found nothing.


October 4, 2007

Report of a fully involved fire in a garage/shed on Curtis Lane.  When first units got on scene, the garage was fully involved.  Truck #2, Truck #4, Truck#6, Truck #8, and Rescue #1 responded to the scene.  Prospect Fire Department was set up at the stream in Sandy Point Village for water supply.

Mass Casualty Drill at Stockton Harbor.  Ambulances from Stockton Springs, Searsport, Winterport, Brooks, Liberty, Unity, and Islesboro.  First Responders from Northport, Belmont, and Frankfort.

Vehicle accident on Route 1 by Ferry Lane.  Truck #6 and Rescue #1 responded to the scene.
