The Stockton Springs Fire Dept. is dedicated to saving lives and properties in our community and surrounding communities. We are a volunteer department that has about 40 members on the roster. We provide fire protection, extrication, and search and rescue.

The SSFD has mutual aid agreements with all of Waldo County. We have automatic mutual aid with Prospect Fire Department for any call. Our department also provides the Jaws of Life for Prospect Fire Department.
The Town of Stockton Springs has a year round population of about 1450. In the summer, the population goes up to about 1600.
